Pickleball

While I was gone up north Tony was busy playing PICKLEBALL!

Here is the article about the tournament. Tony did really well. In the men's tournament he and his partner places 2nd and in the co-ed tournament he and his partner placed 3rd.

Lunch with the Girls

This weekend I had a baby shower up North with my close friends. 

We just went to Olive Garden and enjoyed each other's company. 

It was really fun to just gab! 

All of these girls lived down in St. George at one point and went to college with me.

200,000 Miles

When I graduated from high school my parents, generously, surprised me with Abby, my car. I have loved having her. In fact a couple weeks ago Tony talked about selling her. I started crying and had to go inside. My car has been through the best times of my life and the worst times with me. She has been shelter from the rain, sun, snow, and I'm sure some monsters. I have laughed, cried, sang and screamed. She has seen both my best self and my worst self and yet she keeps plugging along. She has outperformed herself and I couldn't have asked for a better first car. Hopefully, with Tony's permission, I can get another 100,000 miles on her.

Book Baby Shower

I LOVE BOOKS and since our baby's name is potentially coming from a book it makes perfect sense to have a book theme...

We had a yummy hot chocolate bar! Who wouldn't want to wrap up with a cup of hot chocolate and read a good book? Especially, with the weather cooling down.

 because real books were just too heavy to hang from the ceiling.

 I'm sad I didn't get a group shot of everyone who came and supported me. I am so thankful for the generosity of my friends and family. I am surrounded by love and this cute little baby is so lucky to be surrounded by wonderful people!

Halloween

As I have expressed in previous Halloween posts, Halloween is one of my least favorite holidays. However, since moving to our new house I have been inspired to at least try a little harder this year. Our neighbors LOVE Halloween and it kind of got me into the spirit.
I even made a costume. It was really easy but I was very excited about it!

Halloween 2012 wasn't as bad as past years! 2013 has a lot to live up to.

U of U Football Game

Tony's company took us to the U of U vs. California Berkeley game last weekend! So after the shower we headed up to the Rice-Eccles Stadium to watch some football. We had no idea what special treatment we were going to receive...
